Appraisal Management Services, LLC has a firm belief in reinvesting in the community that allows for our company to be in existence.  Our active involvement can be categorized in four ways; Charitable Giving, Community Development, Corporate Sponsorships, Environmental Sustainability. We feel that each area is equally important and relevant to our success as much as our business relations with our clients. We primarily focus on our local community; however we also acknowledge our global presence and also participate with charities and organizations that have a global impact.

Community Development

AMS President, Jeffrey R. Bass, served as the president of the local Rotary Club from 2009-2010. One thing he strives to implement in our business practices are the core values of Rotary. It all begins with the Rotarian's Four Way Test. The Four way test is a series of four questions one must ask himself when making a decision; Is it the truth? Is it Fair to all concerned?  Will it bring goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned? If one can answer yes to all four of these questions in the business world, they will find a lot of success in their respective field.

AMS Office Manager, Paige Bass, is a proud member of The National Association of Professional Women. In 2011, she was recognized as Woman of the Year for her extraordinary efforts in the business world.

Our President and Office Manager have not only impacted our community, but also the lives of the employees here at AMS. Every year our employees participate in multiple volunteer and community service projects. Including, Cobb Christmas, supporting The Extension, Horizon Field (Special Needs Baseball Field), FCA events, Habitat for Humanity, Mountain Top Boys Home, and many others.

Charitable Giving

Along with our volunteer work, we also make monetary donations to multiple organizations each year. As of July, 1st 2014, Jeff Bass received a haircut. The hair was donated to A financial contribution was also made in honor of Mark Tidwell, Author of Leave a Mark. We have financially supported Relay for Life, The American Cancer Society, The National Wild Turkey Federation, and many of the organizations that we volunteer with. We also understand that local schools do not receive the appropriate funding necessary to provide our young students with the best education possible. To help support our local schools we order and deliver much needed supplies such as cases of paper, dry-erase markers, etc. AMS has a large global presence within the country of Haiti. Before the major earthquake struck we had sent several "library in a box" packages, but when the earthquake struck in early 2010 the demand changed. We then sent multiple Haiti Shelter boxes in order to help provide for those who lost everything they had ever known. Since then, AMS has entered a long term agreement to sponsor an orphanage in Haiti. We also have been collecting and storing Crutches, Wheelchairs, and Walkers for Crutches 4 Africa, and recently shipped two truckloads of Donations. AMS recently held a Texas Hold 'em poker tournament for the Amer-Haitian Bon Zami and House of Hope orphanages in Haiti. We raised $3,000 that will provide Easter Dinner for the entire orphanage, a security escorted day-trip to the beach, and other vital medical supplies.

Corporate Sponsorships

We also sponsor many local events that promote improving the standard of living and quality of life in our community. The Luke Abbate Memorial Golf Classic which provides scholarships to local High School students in order to achieve their dreams and reach their greatest potential. Another Foundation is the Friends of Tom O'Connor who raise money for the Leukemia-Research Foundation. We also sponsor local athletic programs including Harrison High School's Football, Baseball, and Golf teams, and Kennesaw Mountain High School's Marching Band.

Environmental Sustainability

At AMS we acknowledge our responsibility to help protect our earth and global environment. We have taken multiple steps to reduce our environmental footprint. We have increased the use of electronic filing and communication and drastically reduced our consumption of paper products. The remaining paper products are recycled when they are discarded. Recently we have started promoting carpooling amongst our employees and introduced many energy efficient items throughout our office.
